Making an appointment

Appointments

Consultations are by appointment only. These can be made either by telephone or in person at the Reception Desk.

All our doctor appointments are currently over the phone, if the doctor then requires to see you face to face, they will arrange for you to come to the surgery following the initial telephone appointment.

You can book a same day doctor appointments by calling the surgery at 8am, unfortunately in this moment in time we cannot offer any pre-booked appointments with our doctors.

Please be advised our telephones are very busy first thing, and you may find yourself in a long queue. We work through the queue as quickly as we can and between 8 and 8.30 everyone possible in the surgery is taking calls.

You may also be offered an appointment in the local “hub” service – groups of local practices working together to provide extra appointments at shared locations in evenings and weekends. It is a normal GP appointment but sometimes the doctor will be working in another local surgery and you will be asked to go there for your appointment.

If you are unable to book for a same day appointment or a local “hub” appointment and you feel your appointment cannot wait until the next day please call 111.

To book routine appointments with one of our nurses or another services that we provide please call after 11am when the phone lines will be quieter. Nurse appointments are available up to 5 weeks in advance. Our usual waiting time is around 3 weeks, although this can vary through the year.
