Many congratulations to our Nurse Partner Joan Jefferis, who was presented with her Nursing degree last weekend.

Saturday Morning Opening - Starting 17th February

In order to improve access for all our patients, and especially our working patients, we will be trialling Saturday morning clinics with our doctors between 17th February and 31st March 2018. Appointments will be available to book up to 1 week in advance. Please let us know at Reception if this service is convenient for you, as your feedback will help us to evaluate the service.

Choosing the right service

Please refer to the chart below to see if a call to our surgery is the best option for you. Many minor illnesses can be dealt with most quickly by visiting your local community pharmacist.

Beginning Monday 20th November, Leacroft Medical Practice will be participating in and sometimes hosting the new Crawley Access Hub GP service. This service is designed to increase the number of appointments available in normal opening hours to all Crawley patients.

The Crawley Access Hub is a new type of service in which several practices work together to try to meet the increasing demand on GP services. It means that you may be offered a GP appointment at another local surgery where the hub is operating. The hub will operate from various surgeries on different days, including Leacroft.

It is a challenge for all local practices to meet demand, and we understand that sometimes it is not possible or desirable to wait at the Urgent Care Centre to see a GP. If you require an urgent on the day appointment, which is not related to a long term or ongoing condition, Crawley Access Hub may be able to see you. Please note you will need to give consent for the GP at the Crawley Access Hub to view your medical record in order to treat you. Without your consent, we will not be able to offer an appointment. Please also note that this new service does not guarantee to provide an appointment, but it will increase the number of appointments available for urgent same-day requests.

PACESetter Award

Leacroft Medical Practice is extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded a national PACE Setter award for our work in assisting children and young people, particularly those with complex medical needs. The majority of the work was initiated and performed by Dr. Patience Okorie, who has sadly left us but is now Paediatrics Lead at Crawley CCG. We have continued with the initiatives that she has put in place and are also continuing to develop and build on them.
